ABOUT ME

1g.jpg

Debbie has been calling Coastal Georgia home for the last 27 years.  She relocated here from Pennsylvania to work fulltime as a Machinist at TRIDENT Refit Facility.  She has fallen in love with all the natural beauty that can be found in southeast Georgia.  In her off time she often jumps in her old blue Chevy pickup (update...I retired my old tried and true blue Chevy truck and I upgraded with my Big Sexy Red Chevy with 4 wheel drive!  Imagine the places we are going to go!), with her camera, cell phone and Gracie by her side.  Looking to see what natural wonder the day has to offer.  The camera to capture the beauty that she sees, the cell phone to call for help (hopefully calling for help won't be an issue anymore with the new truck!), when she wanders off the beaten path and Gracie - her miniature poodle who loves to go along for the ride.

She started taking photos of flowers, birds and squirrels in her own back yard, but was soon bored with that so she started taking her camera for a walk on the weekends.  She became totally mesmerized when she came across an Osprey nest with chicks and spent months photographing them and watching them grow.  Her love for birds and nature continues to grow.

Debbie often says “If it will stay still long enough, I will take its picture”.   She seems to have a knack for getting the critters to pose for her and an eye for all the scenic beauty Coastal Georgia has to offer.  She loves to photograph in the early morning light.  Daybreak is her favorite time of day, she loves to watch and listen to the world wake up.

Debbie has had no formal schooling or classes in photography and her photographs are Natural.  She does not enhance, stage or Photoshop any of her work.  She wants you to see exactly what she saw.  Then maybe you too will take time to notice the Beauty that Surrounds Us.
